The presence of God

I will jump right into this, but I do hope you’re doing well! We can often feel and see God do something miraculous in our lives, as that’s also something He’s known for. He wants to bless us. Discerning God’s presence is when His Spirit is close to us as we draw near to Him. “Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world” James 4:8 (NLT). Here’s another translation, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded” James 4:8 (NKJV).

We cannot see God. His glory is too powerful and radiating for humankind. For a man who saw His face couldn’t live. “But He said, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live” Exodus 33:20 (NKJV). That is for when we go into our heavenly bodies or glorified form where we will be able to see Him and finally withstand the powerfulness of God’s glory.

Some will say they can’t hear God speaking to them, but for that to occur is their openness and sensitivity to hearing His voice is muffled, you can’t say God is silent when your Bible is closed, you aren’t communing with Him, and you don’t acknowledge you need Him because of your pride. Or not give Him your time. You can’t hear Him because what you’re doing in life is too loud. Give Him your time. God is always speaking to the world and us. However, the world can’t hear Him as they don’t believe. When you’re in the stillness, inviting Him in, drawing yourself to Him humbly, and with humility, God can be right there with you, and you can even feel His presence.

To put this out there, God will never leave. He is close by you right now, and His presence may back away from you, but I tell you He hasn’t left you, “Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you” Hebrews 13:5 (NLT). “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you” Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV).

His presence is a feeling that is wonderful and holy, but we shouldn’t be seeking Him for a sense, rather talk with Him, and seek His face always, “Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore” Psalm 105:4 (KJV). There are plenty of times where I won’t feel or see Him, but I know He is by me and working behind-the-scenes for the next day or two days later, as I can see that when I keep drawing close to Him, set time for Him, speak His word things begin to happen. Another thing is when you speak the Word of God, a lot of things will happen.

God showing His powers and abilities is jaw-dropping, but when you complain and bicker that He hasn’t responded, shown you anything, or made it apparent, He is here by your side. Perhaps He’s put you in a season of building your faith in Him or waiting, or maybe your lifestyle is too loud. I won’t know the logistics as to why as God is His own Spirit, and it is for you to search that in Scripture and ask God to lead you in finding what seems appropriate for right now.

To feel God from heaven by His presence because His Spirit indwelling in us, is something more beautiful than any other thing that could depict what real beauty is. You cannot humanly think something is as beautiful or comparable to God’s presence. The presence of Jesus alone can break many things down as if we were in front of Him. That very presence is capable of doing so much in a blink of an eye, even putting together a whole day for Earth before you were able to have a thought you were going to think 5 minutes from now come to your mind.

Your very life can’t proceed further without God’s Spirit in your life. God should be the backbone of your waking and sleeping, to your crying, and your happy, for He deserves the praise day in and day out. Exalt His presence, stand before the Lord and worship Him, be attentive to His call, speak His Word, and practice forgiveness and love, rid and fight your pride and have humility. Our souls are sinful, and the Holy Spirit helps clean us up, makes us holy and pure day by day to be like Jesus’ sinlessness. And following God’s laws and commandments. We wouldn’t be humanly able to go to heaven with our bodies here, as they’ve been corrupted by the sin of the world, so the Holy Spirit leads us to holiness and pureness. Our spirits are clean and incorruptible, but our souls are corrupted by sin, in which He cleans us daily. Practice each day, finding the voice of God and His Will for your life.

We need to realize that we need the Holy Spirit of God, He is the comforter, but He is not the comforter of giving you a blanket. God wants us to be fortified when we are in the middle of a battle. Meaning to be equipped with the strength and power to overcome a battle we’re in to win. Jesus’ Spirit of truth wasn’t sent for us to be overwhelmed and even defeated with emotional, spiritual, or any other challenges that we struggle with, but to give us the power to face what we are going through and be more than a conquer.

The feeling of God’s presence submerges you in His power, glory, holiness, purity, gentleness, and strength, and feels like Jesus is in front you with His hand on you. There is no other presence like God’s presence.
